Plans unveiled for Mevagissey development

Plans unveiled for Mevagissey developmentResidents of Mevagissey had a chance to have their say on a potential new development in the village at a public meeting yesterday.
Mevagissey Bay View LLP exhibited draft proposals of development plans for parts of the fields accessed off school hill, Mevagissey, at the MAC Centre with architects for the project CSA Architects.
The proposal is for 31 homes — ten open market and 21 affordable homes. There will also be private parking and garden spaces.
Of the 21 affordable homes, 16 will be houses — eight three bedroom, seven two bedroom and one four bedroom — and five will be apartments (three two bedroom and two one bedroom).
The ten open market homes will be four bedroom houses with a minimum of two car parking spaces per dwelling.
Justin Dodge, Managing Director of CSA Architects, said: “The main focus will be on affordable housing. The development will provide a significant contribution to affordable housing in the village.
“The Council have identified the need for 51 affordable homes to be built in the village. Our scheme is looking to contribute at least 20 affordable houses on the site. It is a very much affordable led scheme.”

@ Cornish. Yes, a pathetic ewansr from Read. Even were they to interview Lib/Lab/Con on the basis of past results (so why include 20 seconds from Labour?) that´s hardly a justification for the total blank-out here - especially in the particular context of a piece that focused on mid-Cornwall. (Ashdown was first filmed somewhere in St Austell). After all, it would only have taken 3 seconds to have added ´Dick Cole of MK is also challenging here´
