THE WHEELS have been set in motion to build a new bypass from St Austell to the A30 after the Government allocated nearly £80m towards the project - one of the biggest investments of this kind that Cornwall has seen.

Chancellor Phillip Hammond unveiled his autumn budget last week which included giving £79m to improve access to the A391 by building the 3.9mile link road to the west of Roche.

The link will join the recently completed improvement at Carluddon with the old A30 at Victoria to bypass Roche and provide better connections for communities and help to boost employment, housing and regeneration in the area.

Hi all if this investment is en-route then you can rest assured that more homes, more people are destined for St Austell/Cornwall. So not wishing to get to excited or over whelmed, where is the money/investment for Doctors, hospitals OR jobs & everything els that people need. St Austell is short on facility´s as it stands for the current numbers we have, lets hope we can get a little more organised than of late.
