“It’s going to be a different challenge as to when I was here before. I’ve got to look to re-build the squad and I’ll be looking to create a team to take the club forward.
“Some players who have played for the club before have rung me and I think it’s going to take a couple of weeks before I know what sort of squad I’ve got for the new season.
“My first job is going to be to speak to all of the players from last year, all the players have been retained and I want to see what their thoughts are before I start signing other players.
“The club’s local fans and supporters are one of the main reasons why I’ve come back to the club. They were brilliant last time, very supportive and I am happy to be back at the club.
“I will be doing everything that I can to take this club forward and everything that’s happened in the past has happened and I am looking to the future.”

Handbags at Cup Final
Newquay's Mount Wise ground played host to extraordinary scenes at the weekend's Peninsula League showcase, The Throgmorton Cup.As the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League premier division rivals St Blazey and Plymouth Parkway played out this thrilling Throgmorton Cup final tie on Monday, it was finally two goals in extra-time that condemned Glynn Hooper's men to defeat.
The talking point, however, was the chaotic scenes that saw the Parkway bench involved in an altercation with St Blazey fans behind their dug out.
Match and Peninsula League officals struggled to contain Parkway manager Gez Baggott as the red mist came down.
The normally amiable Mr Baggott scaled the perimeter fence and remonstrated with a collection of fans. Eventually after a delay of TEN minutes Mr Baggott and his unused sub James Alexander were both given their marching orders and watched the rest of the proceedings from a distant doorway.

Reserves clinch championship
ST AUSTELL reserves have clinched their fourth consecutive duchy league championship after securing the division two title with a 5-1 win at St Stephen. The result was not as conclusive as the score would suggest.
St Stephen started well but had to make two substitutions in the opening ten minutes through injuries.
Firstly a clash of heads saw one player have to leave the field and within two minutes the keeper went off injured as well.
Despite these setbacks the home team actually took the lead after good work led to Ben Roberts chipping the keeper from the edge of the area.
Just before the break the lillywhites opened up the home rearguard and Steve Kellow levelled.
Within two minutes of the restart the visitors were ahead when a corner fell to Dave Kitson who headed in virtually on the goal-line.
Kellow scored his second with about twenty minutes to go, but then St Austell had a player dismissed for a second caution.
It didn’t stop Phil Hutchings increasing their lead and the best was left for last when Kellow completed his hat-trick with a strike of great power from just ten yards inside the hosts’ half to complete the scoring for the visitors.
It’s a great achievement for the team who have won each league title in the past four seasons starting with the duchy division five in 2008.
