Nancarrow club switchST BLAZEY are expected to complete the formalities of signing  senior cup winning striker Dan Nancarrow from local rivals St Austell, writes Gareth Rowett.
Nancarrow, pictured, looks set to become manager Glynn Hooper's first signing since succeeding Bobby Oaten at Blaise Park just last week.
The forward should returns to the green and blacks for a fourth spell with the club after just one season back at St Austell literally days after the transfer window re-opened on June 1.
Despite the departure of Nancarrow, St Austell boss Glyn Rowett, who has his own targets in mind,  is confident he can retain the vast majority of his Cornwall Senior Cup winning squad.
Since Hooper and assistant Phil Lafferty's at Blaise Park arrivals other players who have been linked with the club on local football forums are Bodmin centre-half Tom Chambers as well as Penzance's Andy Westgarth, James Miller and Chris Reski while Justin Harrington and Mark Vercesi, both of Penzance, could be set to return to the Blaise Park.
The draws have also been made for the first and second round of the Throgmorton cup with Hooper taking his side to face former club Truro City's reserves in the first round, they will then host Porthleven or Penzance should they progress.
While across town St Austell will host premier division Liskeard Athletic and Foxhole Stars will face the long trip to face Okehampton Argyle.
The draw in full can be viewed at: www.swpleague.co.uk
Meanwhile St Austell will host local rivals St Blazey in the second annual Phil Smith memorial match at Poltair on August, 1.
