Sticker run breaks records

CORNWALL AC'S Ollie Shilston has triumphed in the latest leg of the Cornish racing grand prix after winning the Sticker five mile run for the first time.
The 28-year-old who finished second two years managed to claim the victory racing home in a time of 26 minutes and 19 seconds.
Last year's winner Ollie Gibson (Newquay road runners) finished in second with a time of 26 minutes and 40 seconds, while young Matt Cleave (Cornwall AC) finished in third with a time of 27 minutes and three seconds.

A piece of Cornish running history was made on Saturday as St Austell running club became the first ever Cornish club to have 100 members take part in a grand prix event.
In all 113 members managed to take part and finish the grueling five mile course as the event had a record entry of 520, with 499 finishers.
A delighted vice-chairman and race organiser Paul Bullock summed up the mood of the St Austell running club and said: "What a fantastic achievement to have 113 finish and create a Cornish record club entry as the first to reach 100."
Carl Miles was the first St Austell club member home finishing in 30 minutes and 50 seconds while Emma Stallard was the club's first lady home as she finished in 31 minutes.

Emma Stallard (Cornwall AC) was the first female home in a time of 31 minutes, while Carl Miles was the host club St Austell running club's first home in a time of 30 minutes 50 seconds.
Young Sticker full-back Jason Rogers picked up the trophy for the fastest football club member coming home in a time of 33 minutes and 29 seconds while the St Austell Voice's sports reporter Gareth Rowett started the race, which has a record entry.
