ST BLAZEY await Wednesday morning's FA Cup draw with some interest after their place in this season's competition was confirmed late on Monday night, writes Gareth Rowett.
Secretary Simon Tonkin received an email confirming the green and blacks place in the extra preliminary round.
Tonkin told the Voice: "I can confirm our acceptance into this season's FA Cup.
"I received an email late on Monday night confirming our application, but I always had a positive feeling about our situation."
The club were given special dispensation to enter the competition despite failing to finish in the top ten of the South West Peninsula Premier division last season.
Ironically, the club's game at home to Witheridge which was due to be played on August 15 but was put back until the beginning of May clearing their way for their cup clash.
The draw for the extra preliminary round will be announced on the FA website before 11am on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, the club have also confirmed the signing of Penzance's Chris Reski, who played with St Blazey manager Glynn Hooper at both Truro City and Penzance.
