Ready for ashes test

But it is certain to be a tough test for the green and blacks as Saltash have had a solid start to the season and if they can pick up wins in their games in hand they will certainly be amongst the title favourites.
Blaise Park has not be a happy stomping ground for Saltash in recent months though having surrendered a two-goal lead to St Austell in last season’s senior cup final, before losing 4-2 to Bobby Oaten’s St Blazey side just four days later.
This weekend Blazey suffered a one-goal loss at home to Tavistock, who leapfrogged them into top spot.
The game saw Ben Rix make his return from suspension and Hooper will be hoping that he will be able to again call upon injured trio Neil Slateford, David Trott and Josh Higman, who are all said to be near to returning to action.
The game is also expected to allow Hooper to have a look at Sticker’s young full-back Jack Walker, who this past week has put pen to paper on peninsula league forms to sign as cover for the Blaise Park club.
St Blazey squad for tonight’s game, which kicks-off at 7.30pm, from: Tom Blackler, Danny Bance, Rob Brimming, Lewis Russell, Fergus Nevin, Lewis Rundle, David Trott, Chris Reski, Ben Rix, Jay Isbell, Adrian Street, Mark Kershaw, Jon Hoyles, Danny Zalick, Daniel Nancarrow, Glynn Hooper, Neil Slateford, Josh Higman and Jack Walker.
